Amanda Swaner

Amanda

Amanda has been employed at Murray Animal Hospital since August 2003. She began working there as an Animal Caretaker while a student at Murray State University, and is currently working as a Client Coordinator/Assistant Practice Manager.

Amanda has a son named Devon and is currently living in Murray. In her spare time she enjoys riding horses, fishing, and hunting. She also enjoyes watching Nashville Predators Hockey and Louisville Cardinals basketball. Amanda also spends quality time with her family and friends.

Ariel

Ariel is an Animal Caretaker at Murray Animal Hospital and has been employed since February 2015. She is currently attending Murray State University and is working towards her Pre Vet/Animal Health Technology degree.

She is from Southern Illinois and has two dogs, Persephone a.k.a. "Possum" and Lila, and a white paint horse named Fury. In her spare time she enjoys riding horses, hunting and fishing.

Bobbie

Bobbie is the Practice Manager for Murray Animal Hospital.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and nine grandchildren. She has three dogs, Bella, Kobie and B.B., and one horse named Kix that serves as "yard art" on the farm.

Bobbie serves as the clinic Mom.

Celeste

Celeste has been employed at Murray Animal Hospital since May 2012 as an Animal Care Taker and Client Coordinator. She is a 2014 graduate of  Murray State University with an Animal Health Technology degree.

Celeste spends most of her time with her daughter Cadence and the rest of her family. She has two boxers, Lucious and Layla, and a cat named Lexi. In her spare time she enjoys relaxing at the lake and playing with her dogs.

Christina

Christina is a Licensed Veterinary Technologist and has worked at Murray Animal Hospital since August 2016. She graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. Christina was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. She moved to Murray in January 2011 where she met her husband, Blake. They recently moved back home from Franklin, North Carolina and are excited to plant some roots. 

Christina has two dogs, Keiko and Peyton, and a three legged cat, Nini. In her spare time she enjoys to hike with her dogs and watch Tennessee football.

Elizabeth

Elizabeth is an Animal Caretaker at Murray Animal Hospital and has been employed since December of 2016. She is attending Murray State University and is pursuing a degree in Veterinary Medicine. Elizabeth grew up on a farm in Kentucky with her jersey cow, echo, as well as multiple other animals. She lives in Murray now with her cat, Prentiss Fluffbutt.

In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys playing video games, reading, archery and being outside.

Emily

Emily is a Client Coordinator and has worked at Murray Animal Hospital since graduating from Murray State University in 2006.

Emily graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. While attending MSU, she danced with the Racer Girls for five years.  She spends her free time with her husband and children.

She is from Murray, and has one dog named Maggie!

Karen

Dr. Karen Pressley graduated from Murray State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture degree. She then attended Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2012. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Kentucky Veterinary Medical Association.

She is originally from Madisonville, KY but she and her husband Zach moved to Murray in 2016. She and her husband have a son, Bert, as well as one dog, cat, bird, goat and some chickens.

In her spare time she enjoys playing with her family, being outside, and reading.

Laura Ken Hoffman

Laura Ken

Dr. Laura Ken Hoffman graduated from Murray State University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture degree. She then attended Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2010. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Kentucky Veterinary Medical Association.

She is originally from Madisonville, KY but she and her husband Ronnie moved back to Murray in May 2013.  She and her husband have two sons, Duncan and Griffin as well as one dog and one cat, Annie and Harriet.

In her spare time, she enjoys relaxing with family, taking her boys for walks, and running.

Madison

Madison is a client coordinator and has been employed at Murray Animal Hospital since April 2013. Madison graduated from Murray State University with a Major in Agribusiness and a minor in Equine Science. She was a member of the Murray State Equestrian team and participated in the Horseman's Club. She currentlly lives in Murray with her husband Austin. 

In her spare time Madison cares for her family's horse boarding facility and competes in Dressage Horse Shows. She has four dogs, three horses, three pigmy goats, two inside cats and many happy barn cats.

Michelle

Dr. Westerfeld is a 1994 graduate of Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture  She is also a 1998 graduate of Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a member of the Kentucky Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Westerfeld has enjoyed practicing small and large animal medicine since 1998, but is now dedicated to small animal medicine.

Michelle lives in Murray with her husband Michael. She has two kids Matthew and Maddie. She also has a dog named Ollie and several cats. She  has two horses named Socks and Smokey.

Her and her husband are members of Westside Baptist church. In her spare time she enjoys working on her farm and riding horses.

Racheal

Racheal is a licensed Technologist, and has worked at Murray Animal Hospital since September of 2006. Racheal graduated from Murray State University Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture.

She was born and raised in Murray where she currently resides with her husband JD and two daughters Jaselyn and Anna.  She also has two calico cats named Ellie and Sprite.

In her spare time Racheal enjoys watching arm wrestling competitions and listening to 80's music.

Terry

 

Dr. Terry Canerdy graduated from University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 1982. He opened Murray Animal Hospital in 1990 to provide quality care to small animals. He is a full professor in the Hutson School of Agriculture and is Head of the Veterinary Nursing Program at Murray State University.

He has co-authored 25 articles dealing with health issues in dogs. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Kentucky Veterinary Medical Association, Murray Rotary Club, Association of Veterinary Technician Educators, and the American Society of Veterinary Clinical Pathology.

Barbara Walker
